Rejoice Independence Day with a 2-day musical gala at Phoenix Marketcity Pune

India has a rich musical history with several ancient musical instruments to our fortune. To showcase beauty of some of these classical instruments, Phoenix Marketcity Pune has organized performances by famous flute and sitar players on August 14th & 15th respectively.

On Sunday, August 14, come along to witness an energy packed concert by Milind Date, one of the finest Bansuri players in the world. Milind is a versatile composer and has experimented with several music and dance forms. Studied under Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Milind has over 3000 performances to his credit.

Monday, August 15, the Independence eve will see immaculate gig by Pandit Sanjay, a renowned Sitar player of India belonging to Gwalior gharana. Being a pioneer exponent of “Khayala” rendition unlike the conventional “Gatkaari”, he is equally affluent in presenting various music forms on his customised “Sanjaykhani” sitar such as Film songs, Bhajans, Folk music, Jazz, Fusion, Rock music etc. He is recipient of many awards and has been performing in India and abroad regularly.
