FC PUNE CITY PLAYERS SHOW THEIR SUPPORT AS RELIANCE FOUNDATION YOUTH SPORTS LAUNCHES IN PUNE

Reliance Foundation Youth Sports – College Boys Football kicked off in style in Pune. The first match was graced by the presence of FC Pune City stars – Jonathan Lucca, Eduardo Ferreira, Gustavo Oberman and Momar Ndoye – who offered their support and words of wisdom to the two teams. They saw AISSMS College of Engineering take on their counterparts AISSMS College of Information Technology. The keenly contested turned out to be a comfortable victory for AISSMS College of Engineering as they triumphed over their rivals with a 4-1 scoreline.

 

AISSMS CoE started the match on the front foot and it took them just 13 minutes to find the back of the net when they opened their scoring through their number 7, Durgesh Shukla. However, AISSMS CoIT fought back and equalized in the 26th minute through Shubham Marke. The difference in the quality between the two sides soon started to show as AISSMS CoE again took the lead in the 30th minute thanks to a sublime strike by Abhishek Upadhyay. They soon took total control of the match by scoring their 3rd in the 39th minute through Aatmay Uppom to open a two goal advantage.

The tie was settled in the 49th minute when Nikhil Jadhav scored his side’s fourth and gave AISSMS College of Engineering a three-goal lead. AISSMS Institute of Technology failed to reply and the match ended with a final scoreline of 4-1 in favour of AISSMS College of Engineering.

 

FC Pune City Players also contributed in the mission to develop amateur sports. The FC Pune City players interacted with the two sets of players and offered advice to the players concerning issues both on and off the pitch. Eduardo Ferreira presented the man of the match award to Durgesh Shukla, AISSMS, CoE.
