About the Artist:
Donn Bhat is a genre-defying, live electronica composer, producer, songwriter and guitarist based out of Mumbai. Having written, produced and played for the bands ‘Friday The13th‘ and ‘Orange Street’ both of which won the Great Indian Rock (GIR) competition in 2003 and 2005 respectively, he eventually extensively toured Europe with Orange Street. He then produced his first solo album ‘One Way Circle’ in 2006 from his bedroom studio in New Delhi which received great response from press, fans as well has his Indie music peers across the country. Three of his album tracks got featured on the MTV series ‘Bring On the Night’ and he was named BBC’s Artist of the Month on the Bobby Friction show. Within his second year of performing his music live, Donn Bhat was invited to perform internationally at IOMMA, a music conference hosted in the French territory – Reunion Island and at the biggest music festival in the world – Glastonbury! He is known for blurring lines between hyper-specific genres, blending Indian and International electronic sounds to craft a unique musical identity.
