Effingut Brewerkz Makes It’s Way To Baner

Loud singing, noisy oompah bands, crispy chicken strips lying in pools of mustard, wooden tables that have many a drunken story to share and a lot of beer: these big, boozy bashes are such a hit with the fun –seekers of across all ages, they’ve been replicated world over in the form of Oktoberfests and Beer Gardens and Breweries, enhancing the reputation of the most popular alcohol there ever could be- beer.

Those whose idea of a fun night out is sitting back and sipping on a beer will celebrate the arrival of EffingutBrewerkz in Baner. The taps are filled with 9 types of beer, the menu, though vast, is smaller than the one at the Koregaon Park outlet, and the venue is much larger than the one at Koregaon Park. It’s been a week since EffingutBrewerkz opened it’s doors in Baner, and we are told not a day has gone by without the place being absolutely packed.

What’s New?

While the beer, menu and even the staff seem familiar to the regulars, what sets this brewery apart from the rest is the newly added co-working space. Yes you read that right; a brewery with a co-working space. The first floor of the building is a co-working space for professionals,  while casual diners can make themselves comfortable in the space below. Plus you also have access to books! Along with the books, this co-working space allows you wifi-access and provides you with free coffee throughout the day.

This venue is massive. It gives one the feeling of walking into a typical pub, an old time bar with wooden interiors, beer mugs and loud rock music dominating the mood. An interesting addition to the décor are the books, motorcycles and old records displayed on the walls.  The staff is well versed with everything that is on offer. The music is a mix of classic rock, some pop and current chart-toppers. The brewery also has band nights, dj nights, quiz nights and of course, a ladies night.

Beers

They have the Hefeweizen, Berliner Weisse, Tamarind Blanche, Apple Cider, Strawberry Cider, Peach Ginger Melomel, Marzen Lager, Citrus Burst and the Extra Special Bitter. There’s something for every palate.

Food

The menu is not as extensive as the one in the K P outlet, but it spoils you for choice nonetheless. Fun fact- it’s safe to order almost anything off the menu, so go ahead and indulge!

Recommendations –

The super crisp onion rings, the massive prawns wrapped in bacon and served with sausages, Chin Mai chicken, prawn curry rice, cheese makhani and the best thing of all – the Effzza, their version of a pizza. And do not miss out on the Beeramisu when you reach the desserts.

Note- do check out the special menu additions made by Pune Eat Outs.

Worth a try? We are up for driving down all the way from Wanowarie to chill here. Maybe this should put things in perspective 🙂 Also, Mr. Manu Gulati knows how to keep his guests entertained. You don’t need to hesitate when it comes to this one 🙂

Cheers!
