Among the chitter chatter and ever-buzzing atmosphere of Koregaon Park lies a restaurant which reminds you of the cafes in Europe. It goes by the name of Arthur’s Theme.
While you can get stuck in the traffic right outside the restaurant but once you are in this little world of King Arthur, the white chairs and the chandeliers welcome you with a rustic charm.
Arthur’s Theme is famous for its European and Italian cuisine. One can also select a wine of choice to compliment the delicacies offered. This remarkable atmosphere along with the mouth-watering dishes has helped this place bag numerous food critic awards.
The food at Arthur’s Theme is classic European where rich well-made sauces accompany most main courses, along with freshly cooked vegetables and a carb on the side.
Now without further ado let’s jump to our favourite part – FOOD! The menu is extensive but the dish which keeps bringing me back here is Astrid. The oven baked cheese along with the fresh Indian salmon served with a herb dressing is the perfect combination to fulfil your hungers pangs.
The next dish we tried is a lip-smacking mixture of roasted chicken in pepper sauce with a side of steamed vegetables which indeed reminds you of the great political leader, Napoleon, after whom this dish has been named.
Now for the sweet tooth, desserts are all made in house but the tiramisu and the choco lava cake with mint ice cream are exceptional.
Though Arthur’s Theme has been around for nearly eighteen years, the quality of food has remained outstanding and the rates are reasonable as well.
In fact Arthur’s Theme has been such a success that they have set up another branch at the prestigious Balewadi High Street as well. This branch attracts as much crowd as its elder brother, if not more.
The decors at both the outlets are quite similar which gives you a rustic European charm. However the one at Balewadi High Street is slightly more spacious. The menu and the quality of food remain unchanged. This power packed tag team of Arthur’s Theme under the guidance of Chef Navtej is truly a winner!
