The Travelling Satay Festival

Shizusan introduces a limited period ‘The Travelling Satay Festival’ which is a world inspired menu of 10 Satays.

After taking the city on an East Asian culinary journey with Sushi, Baos, Dimsums, Shizusan, Pune’s first ‘Asian Pop Bistro’ is set to launch its first-ever satay festival.

The festival embodies the unconvectional all new ‘Pop’ theme with flavours dedicated from different parts of Asia, hence aptly named “The Travelling Satay”.

The menu is inspired from Shizusan’s recent travels, and is meant to lead guests on a culinary journey through his memories and culinary innovations. Each of the 10 special satays is a product of the personality of the country it is inspired from as well. The Taichan –minced chicken cooked in hot & spicy sambar Oelek– is inspired by the energy and edginess of Malaysia. Similarly from Philipines, the indulgent Fillipino Beef Barbikyu – Pan seared tenderloin coated with Filipino sweet & sour BBQ sauce – will transport you to the bustling streets of Manlia. From the land of the rising sun, Shizusan’s brings to you The Lamb Yakitori – a specialty lamb satay flame grilled in Yakitori sauce.

If you’re a vegetarian, they’ve sorted you on that front too! The fresh Koren Spiced Cottage Cheese – Grilled in kimchi sauce – one bite of this will instantly want you to play some K-pop and shake a leg. The Tofu Kaprow from Thailand is a delicate preparation of tofu chunks carefully arranged on a lemongrass stick. Shizusan’s love from the ‘off the beaten path’ inspires the Japanese Goheimochi Rice Cake – pounded sticky rice cooked in unagi peanut sauce – held together on a skewer.

If variety is your style, try the Satay Je – a sweet & spicy assorted veg satay.

Pair these with Asian cocktails like the Ginger & Basil Margarita, Sakejito and Shizu’s Pimm’s Cup or a carafe of healthy Sake. The limited-time menu has equal options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians, and is available only from March 16th onwards only at Shizusan.
