About Chris

Having picked up the guitar when he was all of 7 years of age, Chris commenced making music professionally at the age of 13. ‘Pyrexia’, a band he formed with a few friends, started performing for college and community parties after winning several competitions and accolades. His mid teenage years saw him join Jet Set, one of Pune’s most famous commercial bands then and gigged with them for 7 years.

Being a founder member of the city’s most renowned bands, ‘Strange Brew’,  the late 80’s, saw them release an album called ‘Just Brewed’, a 5 song EP that won the hearts of the music fraternity in India as well as abroad. Early 2010 saw them release a long awaited Hindi rock album, called ‘Khwaab’. Apart from having more than 5000 gigs under his belt in the last 25 years, in India & abroad, he’s a much coveted session guitar player with several well known artists and line-ups. If promoting many charitable causes through his music wasn’t enough, several students tutored by Chris, in the academy he runs, have become accomplished guitar players and are playing for well-known bands in India. He firmly emphasizes that music is a gift from God and everyone must make the utmost efforts to unleash their true potential.
